Standing at 614ft, taller than the Great Pyramid, the tallest monument in Egypt and was the tallest monument in Africa until 10 years ago.
Standing by the Nile overlooking the city, this beautifully designed tower is a must see.
20 (Egyptian) pounds for Egyptians and 70 for non Egyptians. You will see this is the way for many things ie, taxi’s, museums, Nile boat tours and other monuments entry fees. We went with our two Egyptian friends so were lucky to pass with the cheaper prices and it’s still worth it for 70.
I was extremely impressed, we’re staying in downtown Cairo which is known for the part of the city that which never sleeps but the drive to the tower you leave all of this and enter a beautiful, quiet and exotic area. Green gardens, palm trees, the opera house and fine dining.
